NO I could never afford that anyway.
Mmm i think it depends coz sometimes the branded stuff usually is the best quality so i guess if you want quality over quantity go the Gucci cept sometimes its just a rip off
A lot of the casual brand names are a lot better quality, yes (I’m talkin’ skate shoes and shirts and pants and stuff), but the posh brands like Louis Vuitton with crappy patterns with logos repeated every 2 cm on a bag is for extroverts who pay top dollar for stuff that’s not worth that amount of money.
If I had the money, I would love to have a fabulous wardrobe but I wouldn’t buy designer clothing just for the label. I recently went into a boutique store and tried on some outfits that I will never in the next five years (at least) be able to afford but the quality of the material and the construction of the clothing meant that the fit was fantastic, I felt I looked fantastic, and the feel of the clothing after trying on outfits from Target was out of this world.
That said, I think you’ve got to buy things that you like and that suit your idea of you. So if you feel like a Chanel and Prada person, then go earn yourself the big bucks and shop for your life.
I think my problem is champagne taste on a beer budget…
No way. Get your butt to Savers.
All that clothing is about it the label, that big, famous name. But, really, it means nothing. I don’t think things should be so materialistic.
I don’t care for the big labels at all, or any label in fact.
Plus, budget shopping can be fun. Who wants to fork out $800 for a dress that looks like a potato sack? Not me, thanks.
Brand names.. brand names.. brand names… I think there are some ‘brands’ which are well known, popular and do happen to be excellent quality.
I won’t name names - these brands are very well made and hopefully not by the most poorly paid sweat shops (however, we should do our research!) - yet, they are still highly overpriced.
You can tell these brands usually by the little tag hanging off them - notice the ones which are so designer, so arty, so impressive - yeah, those ones that are usually attached now with the little pin and the string and the expensive looking graphic design job? Feel the tag, and the paper is absolutely high quality material, the designer’s print on it looks fantastic and you just think to yourself - gee, this is flashy! BUT!!!
You must wonder how much you are paying for the ‘labelling costs’ on top of the brand’s reputation (popularity) which has contributed largely to the price tag.
It’s great getting quality clothes on sale - I do find that very cheap clothing does not usually fit as well - however - that depends completely on your own body shape.
I do think however, that wearing brands purely for fashion reasons is concerning.
I find it unfortunate that people would spend more than they are comfortable with paying for clothes simply because they are considered by the general mainstream more fashionable. . don’t succumb to the pressure! Buy clothes that you like, and that you can afford, but be conscious of the companies which you are supporting. The choice is yours!!
